I have chosen to do sociology because it sounded like an interesting subject, and I wanted to learn more about what society is like, also other peoples views and opinions of what it is like. In addition, I would also like to learn the interaction between people that have different beliefs.

I have chosen to do sociology because I believe it will be highly enjoyable and interesting to study; I enjoy listening to other people’s opinion and debating my own. I also realize the benefits of studying a subject that confronts some controversial subjects. I expect that the issues and subjects that we will cover are going to befit me later in life as well as help me to realize the issues in our current society. As a course sociology is very popular which makes it recognizable to employers and universities. In addition I feel that sociology will help me to understand why groups of people act in certain ways which interests me.

I chose sociology as it significantly complimented my other subjects and I'm curious to discover what this subject is which led me to take this course. I’d like to investigate how Sociology involves the study of society and the overall structure of how we interact with different people from diverse culture and backgrounds. I would also like to engage in debates with controversial topics like racial and gender identity, family conflict, religious faith and mental behaviour as you identify how such personal matter make our society as a whole.

Fundamentally, Sociology is the study of how society is organised as well as the way people behave and interact with each other, also it can study the way different institutions influence groups of people.

I have chosen to take sociology as I feel that it is a charismatic subject choice. I believe that sociology will strengthen my debating skills and to help me understand more about the world/society we live in today. Sociology is also one of the most popular A-level subjects, therefore I decided to try it, and have found that in the last couple of lessons I do enjoy the subject.

I chose sociology because it consists of topics that I deem enjoyable. Topics such as; relationships, social classes and also anti-social behaviour. My choice of sociology at A level was influenced by many reasons. Firstly, sociology as a subject complimented all of the additional subjects I chose. Doing English means that I am able to learn good literacy skills and use them within my sociology work. Moreover, I have also chosen psychology which in my opinion relates well to sociology due to them both being studies of people. However, the difference being that psychology is focusing on individual people rather than as a whole. In addition, my other subject choice is business. I feel that sociology can benefit me in this subject as studying society can aid in understanding the business world. Along with sociology complimenting my subjects I also feel that it has a lot to offer and will both intrigue and interest me.

Sociology is the study of society. It allows us to look at how society is organised and why society is organised in this way. This subject highlights the different social groups and classes and the way in which society stereotypes everyone into one of these groups.

I have chosen to study sociology because I enjoy the topics it covers. I feel it is extremely important to know about the society we live in, and how it was formed. Sociology complements my other subjects also. I am interested to know how we function as a society and as the future generation I think it is important to understand what type of society we’re living in and what we could possibly contribute to and change.

the reason I have chosen psychology is that its a subject that digs under the surface of our society and is looking at what is really going on. it is a subject that raises a lot of questions for me to think about, furthermore it results in passionate discussions and debates. sociology helps makes sense of our society. it answers questions that cant be answered anywhere else.

I have chosen Sociology primarily because I have an extensive interest into why people are influenced simply because of one another and how ones opinion can alter someone else's. The questions you brought up on the board are questions I have truly thought about especially the one examining the rich and poor globally and internationally.

I have chosen to study Sociology because society interests me, and I believe that it is very important for everyone to have a solid understanding of how people and communities interact with each other to form the modern society we live in. Moreover, I greatly enjoy analysing the different choices that people make and how that affects others around them, so in that sense Sociology complements one of my other choices, Psychology.

I have chosen to study sociology as I feel that it is a very interesting subject. I feel that it will educate me on the social issues in todays society. I find it interesting learning about the different social classes, stereotypes and looking at social behaviour. Focusing on large cultural groups will help me to develop a better understanding of the world we live in. It is important that we know what is happening in todays society in order to understand everyone's point of view. I am very opinionated, however I like to take other peoples opinions into consideration. Sociology will help me to do this and I will be able to learn new things about our society.

I have chosen sociology because it is a subject that interests me but also because it is a subject that has a variety of different topics that I have never thought in about in depth, which I believe will be enjoyable. However, the past few lessons so far have proved to be very entertaining and hopefully the rest will be the same.
