Koch was known for his role in identifying the specific causes of tuberculosis, cholera, and anthrax and for giving experimental support for the idea of infectious disease. In addition to his studies on these diseases, Koch created and improved major laboratory technologies.

i think pastuer and jennerwas more important than koch because without pasteur and jenner, koch wouldnt of been able to any of his work without the help of their Knoledge

In 1870s Rober Kcoch and his research team developed the scientific methods that helped scientists to identify specific bacteria (staining). Koch then made the first discovery of the bacterium that caused the human disease - tuberculosis.

say if you think robert koch was more important than jenner and pasteur, if it werent for jenner or pastuer would robert koch have been able to do what he did?

in the 1870s kock and his research team developt the scientific methods that helped scientists identify certain bacteria. the kock made the first discovary that becteria caused a human disease. this disease was tuberculosis. then other scientists followed his discoverys and realised bacteria caused many other human diseases.

Robert Koch discovered the bacterium that caused anthrax and started to develop this point but when Pasteur came up with a vaccination for anthrax Koch thought he had stolen his work. This only added to the reasons they were rivals.

i think they were all important and each of thier discoveries led someone else to develop. jenner created the first vaccination, pasteur then created vacccines, i think pastuer was very important because he discovered germs in general and germs causing diseases which was a breakthrough and then abled robert koch to develop furthr and find out which specific germ caused which specific disease and identify different bacteria

I think Jenner started it all of. He made Pasteur and Koch want to learn more about diseases and things. He was a bit like hippocrates in this aspect as he started of all thoughts on germs and bacteria and vaccines.

but hippocrates was wrong about pretty much everything apart from outruling ghosts and stuff

he helped cure typhoid after this many scientists looked into diseases such as chloera, tuberculosis and pneumonia

Robert Koch was German scientist studying different diseases such as anthrax, TB and cholera. However, Pasteur was his arch rival and since he was French they wouldn’t have got on anyway. One disadvantage of this was that they could not work together which could of helped a lot more, and discovered it quicker. He studied bacteria and how it caused diseases and he stained bacteria so that they could be photographed. He was angry when he heard about Pasteur finding out about anthrax; he thought he had stolen his ideas.

Robert Koch expanded on the discoveries of Louis Pasteur. Pasteur had made the discovery of germs but Koch went one step further and named specific germs that caused human disease. He investigated TB and anthrax - a disease that affected both humans and animals. He discovered the bacterium of anthrax and the first germ that caused human disease.

Robert Koch investigated Anthrax, a disease affecting animals and people, and discovered the specific bacterium that causes anthrax. This was the first time that a specific germ caused an individual disease.

Koch made many different contributions- he made the link between tuberculosis and microbes, making it easier for them to find new vaccinations and so on. He also discovered that microbes caused wounds to go septic though his big breakthrough was when he decided to stain microbes with dye, in order to photograph them under a microscope. This enabled him to study them more effectively and prove that every disease was caused by a different germ. He identified germs that caused tuberculosis in 1882 and cholera in 1883.

Rober koch's contribution was mainly developing and expanding Pastuer's ideas of germs and bacteria however soon they became rivals. Koch investigated Anthrax, a disease affecting animals and people, and discovered the specific bacterium that causes anthrax. He also looked into a specific disease caled Tuberculosis (TB) and found a way of staining the bacterium causing the disease to stand out

Koch developed a new experimental method to test whether a particular micro-organism is the cause of a disease. Building on Pasteur's work on germ theory, Koch used experiments to prove that the bacterium Bacillus anthracis was the cause of anthrax - the bacterium could be observed in the tissue of anthrax victims. He extracted this bacterium from a sheep which had died of anthrax, grew it and injected a mouse with it. The mouse developed the disease as well. Koch repeated this process over 20 generations of mice, before he announced in 1876 that he had proved this bacterium caused anthrax.
